What is Modvigil?

Modvigil is a sleep aid tablet which helps people in improving wakefulness which is normally caused by excessive daytime sleepiness. Excessive sleepiness is connected with medical condition known as narcolepsy or with Obstructive sleep Apnoea / Hypopnoea syndrome (OSAHS). It is also caused by Shift work sleep disorder (SWSD)

When a person suffers from narcolepsy, the tendency to fall asleep during day time is irresistible and sudden. It is caused at a time when it is required to be active and awake. How to use Modvigil / Modafinil?

Modvigil  is generic version of Provigil uk which contains Modafinil as active ingredient.

It is a prescription drug and must be used only under the guidance of a doctor. Read the label of the medicine before using it. The best way to use the medicine is after consulting doctor.

It is a treatment of Narcolepsy and the medicine must be taken orally at the same time as prescribed by your doctor. You can divide the total dose of the medicine between morning after afternoon. Do not exceed the dose. The medicine must be taken orally and you must not inject it through veins.

If you are taking the medicine at noon, try to take it 1 hour before you start your work.

Do not stop using this medicine all of a sudden. It may impact your health. Most common withdrawal symptoms and side effects are shaking, chills, sweating, confusion, vomiting, nausea. In case you want to stop the use of medicine completely, your doctor may lower the dose till the time it is completely stopped.

Though Modvigil helps you in the treatment of Narcolepsy, it may become addictive if used for longer duration of time. Do not get addicted of it. You may reduce the dose after consultation with your doctor.

Precautions:

2. Do not take this medicine along with Sildenafil
3. Do not overdose the medicine
4. Always take long expiry medicine. Short expiry medicine tend to lose its effectiveness
5. Modafinil may harm unborn baby. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant or likely to be pregnant
6. Do not consume alcohol or tobacco before or after taking the medicine. It can be dangerous

Storage:

Always store the medicine at places away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid damp places and keep it away from children and pets. Store the medicine in its original packing in almirah.
